Under Stairs Coat and Shoe Store

The priority with this project was to create as mush storage as possible for multiple pairs of shoes for the use of four adults. Space was at a minimum so we needed to be really creative in maximising the potential that this small walk in cupboard offered.

Additional storage was required for household backstock items and seasonal accessories.

Space after reorganisation

A large tall shoe storage unit was installed making full use of the height and width of the cupboard with plenty of extra shelf space to accommodate storage boxes for the small household sundry items. A tiered wire storage unit was fixed to the side of the shoe rack utilising valuable and otherwise potentially unused space for storing the clients First Aid and backstock items.

A second tiered storage system was fixed to the inside of the door to provide easy access storage for hats, scarves, glasses and umbrellas.

The new layout provided enough room for easier access to the coats and provided extra floor area for the clients blanket basket.

“I pride myself on being a tidy person who has a bit of style and flair, but I struggle to extend this to some of the less-visible spaces in my home!”

“Katie is worth her weight in gold. She has a unique talent for knowing exactly what you want and need, taking the spaces in your home that are otherwise under-used and unattractive, transforming them into much more efficient storage solutions that look incredible.”

“Where I can’t see the wood for the trees, Katie can see not just the wood, but can carve out spaces in it that are simultaneously stylish and practical.”
