Terms
Client: The recipient of the Services.
Spaces More Organised: The provider of the Services.
Premises: The location where the Services are to be performed.
Project: The scope of work to be performed.
Project Proposal: Defines the Project, detailing the Services to be provided, together with associated costs, start date, timeline and other details.
Services: The work undertaken by Spaces More Organised, including decluttering, organising and staging.
General
By accepting the Project Proposal, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, effective at the date of acceptance.
Spaces More Organised will conduct the Services in a professional manner and all advice and guidance is provided in good faith.
A 1-hour complementary initial consultation is provided to new Clients to discuss the requirements and desired outcome.
Care and Diligence
Spaces More Organised will treat Client possessions with the upmost care and attention.
Spaces More Organised holds Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, copies of which are available on request.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that they have suitable and adequate insurance in place in the unlikely event that the Premises or contents become damaged during performance of the Services. Spaces More Organised will not be held liable for any losses or damages that occur.
Client approval will always be sought with regard to the disposal of any items as part of decluttering services –Spaces More Organised cannot accept responsibility for the consequences of these Client decisions.
Item valuation is not part of our Services and therefore we cannot accept responsibility should a Client approve to the disposal of a high-value item. If a Client believes or is concerned that they may be in possession of high-value items, it is recommended that a specialist is sought before the Services commence.
The Client will inform Spaces More Organised of any hazards, dangerous equipment, pets or vulnerable persons in the Premises prior to commencement of the Services. The Client and Spaces More Organised will agree the appropriate risk management and mitigation.
Should Spaces More Organised identify evidence of insect or rodent presence in the Premises, the Services will be halted until the situation has been investigated and resolved by a professional to be contracted by the Client.
For health and safety reasons, Spaces More Organised is only able to move items where it is possible to comply with the declared handling requirements.
Photographs may be taken at the Premises during stages of the Project to help illustrate the successful outcomes of the Services performed. Permission from clients will always be sought where Spaces More Organised wishes to use any images in its marketing activities, such as website gallery.
Payment
A non-fundable 50% deposit of the estimated Project cost is required on acceptance of the Project Proposal and prior to the commencement of Services.
Services undertaken will be drawn down from the deposit as the Project progresses.
Once the deposit has been exhausted, a weekly invoice will be raised for the Services undertaken at the agreed hourly rate, any sundry expenses and for any materials purchased on behalf of the Client.
A final invoice will be raised at the completion of the Project to close out any outstanding fees.
Payment terms are 5-days following receipt of the invoice, payable by bank transfer into the account stated on the invoice.
Change Management and Cancellation
If the Project is likely to exceed the estimated cost, the required additional hours will be discussed with the client for approval. Additional hours will be charged at the rate agreed in the Project proposal.
If the Client wishes to cancel the Project once it has started, a settlement invoice will be raised for any hours worked, materials purchased and sundry costs incurred on the Project to date that cannot be covered by the deposit, plus a cancellation fee of £100.
Arranged Appointments:
Client cancellations within 48-hours is charged at 30%.
Client cancellations within 24-hours is charged at 50%.
Client absence at the Arranged Appointment is charged at 100%, plus any applicable sundry expenses.
Spaces More Organised cancellations will not result in the Client being charged and an alternative date/time will be agreed with the Client.
Sundry Expenses
Travel to the Client Premises is included where Premises are within 12 miles of the SO22 postcode.
Travel outside of the 12-mile radius is charged at £0.30 per mile.
Parking or other related costs required to perform the Services are chargeable to the Client.
If it is necessary to involve additional contractors to complete the Services, these can be sourced by Spaces More Organised however they will be arranged and contracted by the Client.
